Lakeview Baseball Clubs Both Win at West Point

Both of Lakeview’s Legion baseball teams recorded wins at West Point Friday evening. 

The Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds romped 15-1.  Jacob Sjuts fired a six-inning complete game one-hitter, notching 17 strikeouts while walking just two batters.  Turner Halverson knocked in three runs for the Reds, who stayed unbeaten at 9-0. 

The Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors evened their record at 5-5 with a 6-3 win.  Evan Tessendorf went 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and two runs.  And Kolby Blaser pitched three scoreless innings of relief. 

The Lakeview Seniors entertain Hooper-Scribner Wednesday at 7 p.m., while the Junior Reds are off until Friday, when they visit Tekamah-Herman.
