Lakeview, Area Football Teams, One Win Away From Finals

Lakeview’s football team needs a win tonight to play its next game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln for a state championship. 

The Vikings visit Kearney Catholic for a 6 p.m. C1 semifinal that will be broadcast on KLIR 101.  It’s Lakeview’s first semifinal appearance since 2013.  A victory will earn the Vikings their second-ever trip to the finals; their first since a Class B runner-up finish in 1990. 

Also today, both D1 semifinals will be aired on 93.5 The Hawk.  Cross County visits Hitchcock County for a 5 p.m. kickoff, followed by Howells-Dodge hosting Burwell at 7 o’clock.  You can also hear the D2 semifinal pitting BDS at Kennesaw.  It has a 6 p.m. kickoff on KZ-100.
