Lakeview and Scotus Basketball Teams Drop Openers

In prep basketball season openers last night, the boys and girls teams from Lakeview and Scotus all went down to defeat. 

Playing at Crete, the Vikings boys suffered a 67-19 loss, while the Lakeview girls fell 64-34. Both Lakeview clubs will host Boone Central tomorrow.  The girls game tips off at 2 p.m., with the boys contest at 3:45.

The Scotus squads were defeated at Hastings St. Cecilia. The Shamrocks boys lost 45-32, while the Scotus girls were beaten 59-21.  The Shamrocks will play their home openers next Tuesday against Guardian Angels Central Catholic.
