Kwapnioski: CHS Looking Into Rescheduling Options

Columbus High’s fall sports schedule will have to be revised after Omaha Public Schools’ decision to suspend fall sports through October 16th while the district is in remote learning.

CHS athletic director Tim Kwapnioski says the Discoverers are “looking into options” for their schedules.

Columbus High’s football team was scheduled to play two home games against OPS teams – the August 28th season opener against Omaha Central and October 9th against Omaha Northwest.

A story in the Lincoln Journal Star noted that Lincoln Pius X was to have visited OPS foe Omaha North on October 9th.  The newspaper called having Pius instead visit Columbus on October 9th “a strong possibility.”
