Kernels Post Opening Round Win in State Baseball

After dropping its opening round game in the Class B state baseball tournament each of the past two years, Central City/Fullerton/Centura won in Saturday’s first round of the inaugural Class C tourney. 

The third-seeded Kernels cruised to a 7-1 victory over Wayne.  It was their tenth straight win, upping their record to 21-4. 

The Kernels face Roncalli Catholic tonight at Fricke Field in Papillion.  The Crimson Pride knocked off number-2 seed Plattsmouth on Saturday.  First pitch is set for 7 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
