Kearney Catholic quarterback Heinrich Haarberg is the latest member of Nebraska’s 2021 recruiting class.  He announced his commitment Saturday on Twitter.

The 6-foot-5 Haarberg passed for 1,869 yards and 23 touchdowns with only four interceptions as a junior last season.  He’s also considered to be a dual-threat QB who can run the football.

Haarberg is the first in-state signal caller to commit to NU as a quarterback since 2003.

His father Rod was a walk-on fullback at Nebraska in the 1990s.
