Nebraska women’s basketball player Kate Cain and her entire family in New York have all recovered after testing positive for the coronavirus.

Cain told huskers.com that a few weeks after returning home to Middletown, New York in mid-March, her father became sick after one of his co-workers had tested positive.  Cain said in the end, her entire immediate family tested positive for the virus.

Cain said her father and older brother had minor symptoms, while Cain and her younger brother were asymptomatic.  But, her mother, Alison, has a genetic kidney disorder and a  weakened immune system.  She was hospitalized for a day after developing coronavirus-induced pneumonia.

Cain said after a few weeks of remaining quarantined in their house, her entire family was cleared of the virus.
