Kalkbrenner Among 10 Semifinalists For Defensive POY

Creighton center Ryan Kalkbrenner is one of 10 semifinalists for the Naismith Men’s Defensive Player of the Year award.
The Bluejays junior is the only Big East representative on the list. Kalkbrenner leads the conference with 2.31 blocked shots per game, which is 16th nationally.
CU plays its final home game of the regular season tonight against Georgetown. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on FS1.
