Junior Reds Win, Lakeview Seniors Fall vs. Wayne

The Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds improved to 2-0 last night by posting their second straight lopsided win at home. The Reds broke a 2-2 tie with a six-run fifth inning en route to a 10-2 victory over the Wayne Juniors.

Jordan Kracl finished with three perfect innings of relief, fanning six batters.  Kracl and Eli Osten both had two RBI in the win.

In the second game at Pawnee Park Field, the Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors were blanked by Wayne 8-0 in five innings.  Lakeview was held to five hits, two off the bat of Caden Pelan.  The Seniors fell to 0-2 on the season.

Both Lakeview clubs will host Battle Creek this Friday.  The Seniors are also in action tomorrow night, when they travel to play Hooper-Scribner.

Meantime, both Columbus Legion teams are in action tonight.  The Cornerstone Insurance Group Seniors welcome Hastings to Pawnee Park Field for a 7 p.m. single game.  And the Columbus United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues travel to Hastings to play a doubleheader.
