Junior Reds Win, Lakeview Seniors Fall at Arlington

The Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds stretched their season-opening winning streak to five games last night.  The Junior Reds once again used great pitching to win 6-2 at Arlington.

Junior Reds starter Jordan Kracl pitched four innings, allowing one unearned run on four hits, walking two and striking out eight.  Kolby Blaser also gave up just one unearned run on four hits over the final three innings, with no walks and three strikeouts.

In their five contests this season, the Junior Reds pitchers have allowed just eight runs.

Meantime, the Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors dropped a 5-4 decision at Arlington last night.

Lakeview scored all of its runs in the top of third, taking a 4-2 lead.  But, the home club tallied three runs in the fifth inning en route to the win.  Evan Tessendorf and Colton Korth each went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Bank of the Valley.

Lakeview’s Seniors had a three-game winning streak snapped, as they fell to 3-3.

Both Lakeview squads are off until next Tuesday, when they host Pierce.
