Junior Reds Cancel Trip to O’Neill; Finish Unbeaten

For the third time this week, Lakeview’s Legion baseball teams have had to cancel scheduled games while they await test results on a player who came down with COVID-19 symptoms last Friday. 

Travis Tessendorf, coach of the unbeaten Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds, said this afternoon those results are not expected back today according to a lab.  So, the team had to cancel its scheduled trip to O’Neill tomorrow. 

Earlier this week, the Junior Reds and Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors had cancelled home games against Albion and Arlington.

The Junior Reds went 10-0 this season, while the Lakeview Seniors had a winning record at 8-6. 

Meantime, the Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors are scheduled to wrap up their season this evening with a twinbill at Grand Island.
