Junior Blues Get Swept by South Sioux City

The Columbus United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues dropped both ends of a doubleheader at home last night.  The Junior Blues fell to South Sioux City by scores of 11-10 and 7-4 at Pawnee Park Field.

After three-and-a-half innings of the opener, Columbus trailed 7-1.  The Junior Blues posted a pair of four-run frames in the sixth and seventh, but couldn’t complete the comeback.  Connor Rausch had three hits and three RBI in the loss.

The home team fell behind early again in the nightcap.  South Sioux City led 5-2 after the top of the second and each club scored two runs the rest of the way.

The Junior Blues’ record slipped to 2-6.  They’ll host Lincoln Southeast in a twinbill tomorrow, starting at 5 p.m.
