Junior Area Tourney Championship Scores for Area Teams

In last night’s B4 area junior tournament, Central City forced a second championship game but fell to Sutton for the title at Pawnee Park Field. 

Central City came into the 5 p.m. contest with a 3-1 record in the tourney and needed two wins over 3-0 Sutton.  Central City took the first game 10-6, but Sutton rebounded in the final for an 11-3 victory in five innings. 

In the B5 area tournament, Albion’s juniors fell to host Wayne 4-1 in the championship.  And in C5 action at Silver Creek, Palmer-Wohlbach-Greeley completed a 4-and-0 run through the tourney by shading Wood River 4-3 for the title.
