Joseph Trying to Change the Culture of Receivers Unit

Nebraska associate head coach Mickey Joseph was a guest on Wednesday’s Sports Nightly on News Talk 900 KJSK.  Joseph, who coaches wide receivers, said he’s trying to change the culture of that unit.

He also has been active in adding new receivers to boost that room’s numbers.  Joseph said having between 10 and 11 good receivers helps motivate everyone.  “Nobody can take a day off,” Joseph said. “Take a day off, somebody else is going to get it done.”

Joseph said receiver Trey Palmer is “a totally different kid than I had at LSU.”  The former five-star recruit was playing behind talented receivers who are now in the NFL.  Joseph said Palmer’s “time has come” with Nebraska.
