After the start of the Legion baseball season was delayed by COVID-19, “Play Ball!” will be heard at ballparks a week from tomorrow.

And Jimmy Johnson, head coach of the Columbus United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues, has released his roster for the upcoming campaign.  Johnson will have a lot of options when it comes to his team’s pitching, as 11 of the names on the 15-player roster are listed as being at least part-time pitchers.

The Junior Blues open their shortened season next Thursday with a road game at Waverly.  The following night, the team will play a doubleheader at Norfolk.  Another twinbill on the road is slated for June 23rd, when the Junior Blues travel to Hastings.  Johnson’s club will see its first action at home on June 25th, with a doubleheader against Kearney at Pawnee Park Field.
