Creighton forward Damien Jefferson has declared for the NBA draft.  He becomes the third player from CU to explore the possibility of turning professional.

Jefferson has the option to return to the Bluejays for his final season of eligibility after going through the evaluation process by league executives.  Jefferson averaged 9.4 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Jays last season.

Teammates Ty-Shon Alexander and Denzel Mahoney declared for the draft earlier.  Alexander has said he intends to remain in the June 25th draft, while Mahoney is undecided.

Meantime, the Omaha World-Herald says Creighton sophomore point guard Marcus Zegarowski has decided not to turn pro.
