Creighton baseball standouts Dylan Tebrake and Alan Roden added to their trophy case yesterday. Each claimed All-Central Region Second Team honors, voted on by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Tebrake, a junior pitcher and Roden, a sophomore first baseman/outfielder, had also earned All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper earlier this month.
Tebrake was the Big East Pitcher of the Year after going 8-2 with a 2.71 ERA and 115 strikeouts in 93 innings. Roden was named the league’s Co-Player of the Year after hitting .387 with 25 doubles, 46 RBI, and 48 runs. He’s currently the second-most difficult player to strikeout in the nation, as he went down on strikes just eight times this season.
