Jays’ Scheierman on Julius Erving Award Watch List

Creighton’s Baylor Scheierman is one of 20 candidates on the watch list for the Julius Erving Award.
The annual honor in its ninth year recognizes the top small forwards in Division I men’s college basketball.
A senior from Aurora, Scheierman is entering his first season at Creighton after starring at South Dakota State. He was a two-time All-Summit League choice and earned Player of the Year honors last season.
The Bluejays open exhibition play Sunday at 6 p.m. when they take on Drury at CHI Health Center.
