Jays Bow at K-State, Cancellieri Earns National, Big East Honors

Creighton baseball suffered a 10-0 loss in seven innings at Kansas State.

Last night’s second loss in as many meetings with the Wildcats this year dropped the Bluejays to 14-12.  Creighton reliever Cade Lommel allowed two runs in 1.2 innings and fell to 0-6.

The Jays will visit Georgetown for a three-game weekend series.

On Monday, Creighton starter Dominic Cancellieri was named D1Baseball.com’s National Pitcher of the Week as well as Big East Pitcher of the Week.  He allowed just one hit in eight scoreless innings against Villanova last Friday, walking one with a career-high 12 strikeouts.
