James Williams Latest Husker Planning to Enter Transfer Portal

Nebraska football’s defense suffered a key loss on Tuesday night when edge rusher James Williams announced on social media he plans to enter the transfer portal. 

In his second season with the Huskers this year, Williams had 14 tackles and five sacks.  Nicknamed “Sack Man,” Williams had seven sacks in the 2023 season. 

NU’s defense has lost several players as well as coordinator Tony White, who is taking the same position at Florida State.
