Jaguars Win Second Straight State Volleyball Title

Howells-Dodge rallied to win its second straight state volleyball championship, defeating Overton in five sets today at the Devaney Sports Center.
The Jaguars, who won a D1 crown last year, claimed the D2 title today with a 25-16, 24-26, 22-25, 25-23, 15-12 victory. Howells-Dodge was led by 6-foot-1 senior Grace Baumert who compiled 42 kills, nine blocks and 29 digs.
The top-seeded Jags’ triumph concluded a 29-4 campaign. The second-seeded Eagles finished with a 30-5 record.
