It’s not shocking news, but as expected since the coronavirus pandemic struck this year’s Major League Baseball draft will not be held in Omaha after all.

It had been planned for the Holland Center just before the College World Series.

MLB announced today that the draft will be held on June 10th and 11th and will be inside the MLB Network studios in New Jersey, as it has been for several years.

Both MLB Network and ESPN will cover the draft live.  It will be the first time more than one network will have live primetime coverage of the event.
