NU’s Bryce McGowens was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week Monday afternoon. The 6-foot-7 guard averaged 26.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in two contests last week. His season average of 16.7 points per game is second nationally among all true freshmen.
