Huskers Up to No. 22 in Football Polls After Dominating UNI
Nebraska’s football team inched up to No. 22 in both polls on Sunday.
After the Huskers beat Northern Iowa 34-3 Saturday night, NU climbed one spot in the AP Top 25 and two places in the coaches poll.
Freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola passed for 247 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Panthers. Freshman receiver Carter Nelson had four catches for 48 yards and scored his first career touchdown from 24 yards out on Nebraska’s opening drive. Nelson, who was the state’s top prospect as an eight-man prep player at Ainsworth, called it a “dream come true.”
