Huskers, Team USA Volleyball Settle for Silver Medal in Paris

Three former Huskers and their fellow volleyball stars earned the silver medal at the Paris Olympics on Sunday. 

The U.S. fell to Italy in three sets, 25-18, 25-20, 25-17 in the gold medal match.  Three players on Team USA, Justine Wong-Orantes, Jordan Larson and Kelsey Robinson Cook, represented Nebraska. 

In the final, Wong-Orantes had 15 digs and Larson delivered five kills. 

Larson earned her fourth career Olympic medal, tied for most all-time by a women’s volleyball player.  Robinson Cook collected her third Olympics medal, and Wong-Orantes now has a gold and a silver medal.
