Huskers Stay at No. 3, Bluejays Jump to 18th in AVCA Poll

Nebraska volleyball remained at No. 3, while Creighton jumped to 18th in this week’s AVCA Top 25. 

The Huskers still trail top-ranked Texas and second-ranked Louisville.  The Bluejays rose three spots in the coaches’ rankings. 

Also yesterday, NU middle blocker Bekka Allick was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week.  Allick averaged 2.50 kills and 1.33 blocks per set in Nebraska’s sweeps of Penn State and Northwestern last weekend. 

Meanwhile, Creighton’s Kiana Schmitt was named Big East Defensive Player of the Week and her Jays teammate Ava Martin was recognized as the conference’s Freshman of the Week.
