Huskers Start Slowly in Loss at Michigan State

Michigan State closed the first half on a 13-0 run for a 39-17 halftime lead en route to a 74-56 win over Nebraska. 

The game was tied at 11 before the Spartans outscored the Huskers 28-6 over the final 12 minutes of the first half.  NU got as close as 58-46 with 8:44 left.  But, Sparty scored the next 10 points to pull away and post its 10th straight victory in the series. 

Derrick Walker paced Nebraska with 15 points and also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.  The Huskers slipped to 8-7 on the year and 1-3 in the conference.

Nebraska plays at Minnesota on Saturday.  The pregame starts at 10 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK, with tipoff set for 11 a.m.
