Huskers’ Star Freshman McGowens Declares for NBA Draft

Nebraska freshman Bryce McGowens declared for the NBA draft today.
McGowens averaged a team-high 16.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game this past season. He was named Big Ten Newcomer of the Year by the AP and earned third-team All-Big Ten honors.
McGowens’ scoring average set a Nebraska freshman record and ranked third among all freshmen nationally. He also ranked second among conference freshmen in rebounding.
The NBA Draft will take place on June 23rd.
