Huskers Play Arkansas Again Tonight for Regional Title
Nebraska baseball has forced a rematch against Arkansas tonight for a regional title. The Huskers stayed alive last night with a 5-3 victory over the number one overall seeded Razorbacks.
Griffin Everitt had a two-out, two-run single to cap NU’s three-run rally in the bottom of the fifth, erasing Arkansas’ 3-2 lead. On the mound, Kyle Perry and Spencer Schwellenbach only allowed four hits, with Schwellenbach firing a career-best 4.2 shutout innings. Earlier on Sunday, Nebraska routed NJIT 18-4 in an elimination game.
The Huskers, now 34-13, will square off against 48-11 Arkansas again this evening with the winner earning a berth in the Super Regional. You can hear play-by-play on News Talk 900 KJSK. The pregame starts at 5:30 p.m. with first pitch set for 6.
