Nebraska’s Jessica Petrie scored six points, but Australia suffered a 74-67 loss to Mali to open bracket play at the U19 Women’s World Cup.
Petrie added two rebounds, a pair of assists and a blocked shot in just under 12 minutes of action.
The Aussies return to action early tomorrow morning – 2 a.m. Central Time – when they take on Brazil.
