Huskers Open Spring Practice, Thompson is No. 1 QB

The Nebraska football team held the first of 15 spring practices on Monday. Coach Scott Frost said it was “energizing and invigorating having the new faces around in the coaching staff and on the team.”
Casey Thompson opened spring as Nebraska’s number one quarterback. Thompson transferred to NU after starting 10 games and passing for 24 touchdowns for Texas last season. New offensive coordinator Mark Whiplle says Thompson is the clear choice at quarterback but that nothing is set in stone.
The Huskers Red-White Spring Game is slated for April 9th, with the kickoff time TBA.
