Huskers Men Lead by 15 at Half, Lose by 11 at Minnesota

The Nebraska men’s basketball team blew a 15-point halftime lead last night. 

The Huskers lost their Big Ten opener at Minnesota 76-65, after leading 39-24 at the break.  NU shot just over 29 percent in the second half, while Minnesota shot 59 percent after intermission. 

Brice Williams led the Huskers with 18 points, but only one of those came in the second half.  Jamarques Lawrence had a career-high 16 points, but Nebraska committed 18 turnovers, 12 coming after halftime.  The Big Red has lost two straight to fall to 7-2. 

The Huskers host Michigan State Sunday.  Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m.  The pregame starts an hour earlier on News Talk 900 KJSK.
