Huskers’ Late Rally at Maryland Comes Up Short

In college hoops, the Nebraska men came up just short in a bid to shock number nine Maryland on the road last night.  The Huskers were edged by the Terrapins 72-70.

NU trailed 71-64 with less than a minute to play before a 6-0 run made it a one-point game.  But, Maryland held on to improve to 20-4 including a Big Ten-best 10-3 mark, while Nebraska’s ninth straight loss left the Huskers at 7-17 overall and 2-11 in the conference. 

NU will host Wisconsin on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 1:15 p.m., with the pre-game starting at 12:15 on News Talk 900 KJSK.
