Huskers Hire Holgorsen to Help Offense, Trojans Change Starting QB

Nebraska football has hired former Houston and West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen as an offensive consultant.

He’ll be trying to help the Huskers struggling offense, which has averaged 18.3 points per game against Big Ten opponents.  Tuesday’s hiring of Holgorsen came a day after head coach Matt Rhule said he was going to have some people he trusts look at what his team is doing on offense and defense.

Nebraska has lost three straight games and has a bye this week before the Huskers visit USC next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Jayden Maiava is replacing Miller Moss as Southern Cal’s starting quarterback.  Like the Huskers, the Trojans are on a bye week.  Moss has thrown seven interceptions during USC’s current 1-4 skid, including three in a 26-21 loss at Washington last Saturday.
