A three-star prospect from Georgia has become the first running back in Nebraska’s 2021 recruiting class.

Gabe Ervin of Buford, Georgia committed to the Huskers today on Twitter.  Media reports say Ervin had offers from more than a dozen other schools, including Big Ten foes Michigan State and Maryland.

As a junior last season, Ervin helped lead Buford High to a state title by rushing for over 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns.

He’s the tenth player known to have verbally committed to NU for 2021.
