Huskers Earn First Bowl Game Victory Since 2015
  • Nebraska football’s 20-15 win over Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl on Saturday gave the Huskers their first winning season at 7-6 since 2016 and their first postseason victory since 2015.
  • The win also evened Nebraska’s all-time bowl record at 27-27, while Huskers head coach Matt Rhule improved to 2-2 in bowl games.
  • Freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola completed 23-of-31 passes for 231 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles, pushing his season passing total to 2,826 yards, setting a Nebraska freshman passing record.
  • Senior running back Rahmir Johnson, a Harlem native, had 10 carries for 60 yards and and touchdown.  He earned Pinstripe Bowl MVP honors.  Sophomore running back Emmett Johnson rushed for 68 yards and had five receptions, including a 13-yard TD catch.
  • Freshman linebacker Vincent Shavers finished the game with six tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble.  All-Big Ten defensive lineman Ty Robinson closed his career with four tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a sack.
  • NU held BC to 47 rushing yards, marking the seventh opponent this season Nebraska held to less than 80 rushing yards.
