Huskers Come Alive in Second Half to Win at Purdue

Following an ugly first half and trailing 3-0 in the third quarter, Nebraska rallied to score 28 straight points in a 28-10 win at Purdue on Saturday.

Dylan Raiola passed for 257 yards and a touchdown, Jahmal Banks had five catches for 82 yards and a score, and speedy Jacory Barney ran 25 yards to paydirt.  The Blackshirts accounted for the final touchdown as John Bullock went 35 yards with a pick-6.  After the game, Bullock called the feeling “incredible” and deflected the credit for the big play.

“That was more the coaches than me,” Bullock said.  “They told me to play that route when we’re in Cover 2.  I played it and took it back to the house.”

Speaking of the house, Nebraska plays its Homecoming game Saturday against Rutgers.  It’s a 3 p.m. kickoff at Memorial Stadium.  The pregame begins at 11 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 2:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
