Huskers Bow to Illinois in Men’s College Hoops

Terrence Shannon Jr. scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, leading Illinois to a 76-50 win over Nebraska.
The Huskers pulled to within 34-29 after opening the second half with a 6-0 run, before the Fighting Illini used a 21-5 spurt to take control. Nebraska’s Juwan Gary suffered a shoulder injury late in the first half and didn’t return. NU fell to 9-8 overall and 2-4 in the Big Ten.
The Huskers visit No. 3 Purdue on Friday.
