Husker Women’s Hoops Shuts Down Rutgers

Nebraska’s Alexis Markowski scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed a career-best 15 rebounds, leading the Huskers to a 50-38 women’s basketball victory over Rutgers.
The home win moved NU to 16-4 on the season and 5-4 in the Big Ten. The 38 points scored by the Scarlet Knights matched the fewest points ever allowed by Nebraska in a Big Ten game.
The Huskers will host Penn State on Thursday. Tipoff at Pinnacle Bank Arena is set for 7 p.m.
