Husker Women’s Hoops Hits Century Mark Again

Jaz Shelley recorded the first double-double of her college career to lead the Nebraska women’s basketball club to a 102-47 romp over Prairie View A&M.

Shelley scored 22 points and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds last night, as the Huskers rolled to the second big win at Pinnacle Bank Arena.  NU scored 100-plus points in back-to-back wins for the first time in school history.  It marked the second time in history the Nebraska women hit the century mark in consecutive games, but the first time it happened in 1983 it included a 103-point outburst in an overtime loss to Kansas State.

The Huskers are 2-0 this season and will host Alabama A&M on Sunday.
