Husker Trio Helps USA Volleyball Take Fifth in U20 Tourney

With a roster that included three Nebraska freshmen, the United States volleyball team placed fifth at the U20 World Championship, which concluded Sunday.

Outside hitters Ally Batenhorst and Lindsay Krause and libero Lexi Rodriguez helped the U.S. go 6-2 and register its highest finish since 2011.  Batenhorst totaled 82 kills to rank second on Team USA.  Krause had 36 kills on only 79 swings, posting a .316 attack percentage.  And Rodriguez led the Americans in digs.

The trio of Huskers will next be in action at the annual Red-White Scrimmage on August 21st.  Tickets for that event are on sale now at huskers.com.
