Husker Men’s Basketball Opens Season With Win

The Nebraska men’s basketball team used a 14-1 second-half run to top Maine 79-66 in last night’s season opener at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Sam Griesel scored 18 of his team-leading 22 points in the second half, adding nine rebounds in his Husker debut. Juwan Gary had a double-double for NU with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Keisei Tominaga tallied 19 points off the bench.
Nebraska will host Omaha Thursday night.
