Husker Men’s Basketball Defense Smothers Iowa

The Nebraska men’s basketball team held Iowa to 26 percent shooting in a 66-50 victory over the Hawkeyes last night. 

Iowa was held 33 points below their Big Ten-leading scoring average.  Juwan Gary led the Huskers with 14 points, while Sam Griesel had 12 points and 10 rebounds.  The win improved NU to 6-1 at home, 8-4 overall and 1-2 in the Big Ten. 

Nebraska visits Michigan State next Tuesday.
