Husker Kicker Bleekrode: “Locking In Like It’s a Game Day”

An interview with Nebraska kicker Timmy Bleekrode was broadcast last night on KJSK’s Sports Nightly. 

Bleekrode was asked  how special teams practices have been going.  “We usually have a punt or a kickoff period,” Bleekrode said.  “Coach (Bill) Busch really emphasizes every rep is a game rep, so we have to take that mentality.  We’re locking in just like it’s a game day and we’ve been getting good work overall.”

The Huskers open their season on August 27th in Ireland against Northwestern.
