Husker Guard Tominaga Named to Japan’s National Team

Nebraska basketball’s Keisei Tominaga has been named to Japan’s national team.

One year after playing in the Tokyo Olympics in 3-on-3 basketball, the Husker guard will make his Japan senior national team debut this week in a pair of FIBA World Cup Asian qualifying games.  Japan will face China on Thursday and Australia on Friday in Melbourne.

Tominaga played in 30 games, including 11 starts in his first season at Nebraska last year as a sophomore.  He averaged 5.7 points per game and ranked third on the team with 36 three-pointers.
