Nebraska’s football team has decided against playing in a bowl game.

Following the Huskers’ 28-21 win at Rutgers Friday night, coach Scott Frost said he was going to ask the players if they wanted to accept any bowl invitation.  NU announced the decision late Sunday morning.

In a statement, Frost noted it had been a grind this season, which had the Huskers preparing for a September start only to see it delayed until late October by COVID-19.

Nebraska ends the season at 3-5, marking a fourth straight losing season without a trip to a bowl game.
