Husker Ace Brett Sears Named District Player of the Year

Nebraska ace Brett Sears has been tabbed the District 6 player of the year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

The senior became the ninth Husker to be named district player of the year, including the second in a row.  Max Anderson won the award last year.

Sears was the Big Ten’s Pitcher of the Year after posting a 9-1 record with a 2.16 ERA and 101 strikeouts in 104 innings.
