Howells-Dodge, Osceola Make Boys Hoops State Tourneys

A year after finishing as D1 runner-up, the Howells-Dodge boys basketball team is heading to the C2 state tournament.  The Jaguars defeated Cross County 63-47 last night in a district final in Howells.  

The Jaguars moved on with a 23-3 record, while the Cougars’ season ended at 23-4.  Howells-Dodge joined last year’s D1 champion, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family in the C2 state tourney.  The Bulldogs won a district title on Saturday. 

Osceola is headed to the D2 tournament after a 61-38 win over BDS last night.  Osceola’s Bulldogs improved to 21-5. 

Central City dropped a 41-37 decision at three-time defending C1 champion Auburn.  The Bison had a 16-game winning streak snapped and finished at 21-6.
