How Area Legion Teams Fared in Senior Area Tourneys Monday

In Senior Legion area tournaments involving teams from the area on Monday, Central City fell to Valparaiso 8-1 in the B4 semifinals. 

Palmer-Wohlbach-Greeley is 3-1 in the C1 area tournament after downing Crofton 9-1 in six innings.  PWG needs two wins over 3-0 Battle Creek tonight to win the championship.  North Bend-Morse Bluff bowed to Malcolm 13-0 in the C3 semifinals. 

And Shelby-Osceola-Stromsburg routed BDS 10-1 in the C5 tourney.  SOS needs to defeat Wood River, which is 4-0, twice tonight to win the area title and advance to state.
