Holgorsen: Huskers Need to Keep Showing Improvement at Iowa
Nebraska offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen credited head coach Matt Rhule for motivating the Huskers last week prior to NU’s win over Wisconsin.
Holgorsen said he saw improvement in every part of Nebraska’s offense. But, he knows the Huskers will need to keep showing improvement on Friday when they play at Iowa. The Hawkeyes are coached by Kirk Ferentz in his 26th season.
“Iowa’s a really good football team – they play great defense,” Holgorsen said. “I remember my second year at Texas Tech in 2001 we played Iowa in the Alamo Bowl. And it’s the same thing, 20-something years later it’s the same scheme, same coach, same everything. This is crazy. It’s going to take another good effort and more improvement to be able to go to Iowa and play in that atmosphere against a good football team.”
Friday’s kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. The game will be aired on News Talk 900 KJSK and 93.5 The Hawk.
